The art of leadership

Some people lead themselves, some lead others, and a few manage to do both. We all experience leadership in our day-to-day lifes. In the One-Day-Seminar you experience leadership. Everything you have heard, read or experienced about leadership will gain a new dimension.

In our opinion leadership is about personal conduct and authenticity. The training with our horses will help you understand your leadership qualities and how to improve them. In a very spirited dialogue and with a great amount of fun and lasting results.

Using the principles of learning by experiencing, we will lead you through five practical exercises. The metaphors connected to these exercises will be explained in short theoretical sessions.

  • Leadership positions and leadership style
  • Comfort zones of members of staff
  • Public, business, personal distances
  • Communication and personality
  • “360-degree”-feedback or the “meta”-feedback of the horses

You take with you insights and impulses, which will facilitate teamwork with members of staff, management of projects and dealings with customers.

The One-Day-Seminar “The art of leadership” has been a standard since 2010 in the European Association for Horse Assisted Education (EAHAE). In 2009 it was already offered at various locations in Germany. Currently it is becoming more and more widespread internationally.

It is not necessary for participants to have prior experiences involving horses. All you need to bring is courage to encounter new things – and this is already often the case in our daily lifes. Please dress in sturdy leisure wear. The practical exercises take place either in a riding arena or an outside area.

Coaching by horses will provide the learning environment, in which you can devote yourself to your individual learning process. You will be given suggestions on how to transfer metaphors and symbolism from the exercises into your business.
